SENSEI HENRY
Sensei Ed has been training in the martial arts for 22 years. He has taught Karate to children for more than 17 years, his competition history goes back over 16 years, and he has been coaching competitors for more than a decade.

Sensei Ed originally obtained black belts in Tae Kwon Do and American Karate. He then traveled internationally to train and earned a second degree black belt in Shotokan Karate.

In 2002, Sensei Ed joined the JKO and has since earned his fourth degree black belt in authentic Shito-Ryu Karate-do under Hanshi Minobu MIKI. Of only five fourth degree black belts in the JKO, Sensei Ed was the third to earn the title of Shihan-Dai (interim master instructor)

Having run three clubs for others, Sensei Ed finally decided to strike out on his own. He opened JKO Garner in early 2007 with the blessing of Hanshi MIKI.

Ed lives in Garner with his wife Tina and their daughter Jayde.
